VIP Welcome Service GmbH, ideally located between Zurich and Basel, is the result of a sustained increase in immigration to Switzerland over the last several years and my own personal vision.

Immigration statistics released by the Swiss authorities (BFS) show an increase in immigration of 2,4% from 2005 to 2006. The vast majority of immigrants was highty qualified and assumed roles in upper management. As Switzerland continues to open its borders for international investors and highly qualified professionals, managers from globally operating companies in all business fields will increasingly visit and settle in the economic "hot spots", Basel and Zurich. I believe that the success of many global business operations, however, will, to a great extent, depend upon a well-organized and far-reaching network of local experts who understand and can work together with the Swiss authorities, help managers (and their families) build up a network of social contacts, and communicate and represent the many positive aspects of the Swiss culture. Until now, no organization, acting as a single point of contact for all needs, has taken on this challenge for Basel and Zurich. VIP Welcome Service strives to bridge this gap in the market.

The other, and perhaps more decisive aspect that motivated me to found VIP Welcome Service, is my own personal vision that grew out of my years of experience as HR responsible. I found that caring for the needs of international employees brought a series of special challenges -everything from airport pick-up service to going shopping for just the right furniture for the new apartment. I learned how seemingly small gestures can have a positive effect on how well international employees settle into their new life here in Switzerland, making them immediately more productive for their company. Accelerating the process of integration is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my career. Services that make people happy - this is at the core of VIP Welcome Service.
